Enjoy exploring Our Walled Garden. With current constructions underway we have had to give our pigs a new home on another farm while we build Monty’s Farm Park. Feel free to pop down and wander round our field walk where you can spy our Highland Cows in their fields and sheep grazing too. For a longer walk carry on across our field trail to nearby Ardmore Point, a walk that will take appr. an hour and a half – just enough to work up an appetite for a cuppa and cake in the tearoom! Dogs more than welcome if under control and on a lead.
As a farming family at heart we love having farm animals around for visitors to see and experience. Our animals int he fields include; Texel sheep, and lambs in the spring time, big hairy Heelan Coos and hens to have a peek at too. Ardardan is a working farm and so a good chance to see the animals in their fields grazing away. Farmers Grant and Jerry can often be seen out and about on the tractor or in the fields getting on with the job of the moment! Jump on our tractor and trailer rides if you fancy a tour!
Set within our Restored Walled Garden Ardardan’s Walled Garden has a lot of history and many plants in the herbaceous border that have been in palce since the beginning of the 19th century and are still thriving now. Have a wander from there through our field trail and onto Ardmore Point or just sit in the peace and quiet of the garden
While we love welcoming groups and hosting events for all occasions during 2020 we are unable to host groups for the moment. Once the world changes a little and we can operate group events safely again we will welcome groups with open arms. We look forward to that day!
